Dr. Deepak J Tilak, Since inception, the Vidyapeeth has focused on imparting national education that would equip students to contribute productively towards the development of the nation. During the long period of 102 years the Vidyapeeth has constantly catered to the changing needs of the society and nation without compromising on quality and its prime focus.
In addition to the academic programs that cherish our Indian Heritage like Sanskrit, Indology etc., to cater to social needs the Vidyapeeth offers courses in the fields of Management, Computer Science, Hotel Management, Journalism and Mass Media, Animation, Social Work, nursing, law and Physiotherapy. With the addition of new programs namely M.A and B.A. in Journalism Mass Communication. M.Sc. in Indian Dietetics and Food Sciences, Panchakarma Tantra Sahayak and Program in Japanese Language and Pharmacy. The Vidyapeeth has transformed itself both academically and infrastructure-wise.
The last five years have witnessed an expansion in the infrastructure, technology, courses and research activities. Alternative up gradation of the teaching resources, conduct of National and International Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Research Publication are demonstration of our fortified resolve to perform better.
Our works have attained international recognition and accolades in the fields of Mass Communication, Sanskrit and Indology, Ayurveda and Japanese. Established of Japanese department in the collaboration with Japanese Government.
Students are provided with the latest technology. We have accepted Choice Based Credit System and have constantly revised syllabus to update students.

Tilak, General Manager & Trustee- Kesari Group of Publications and Kesari Digital Edition - Pune, Sangli, Solapur, Nagar, Chiplun,A renowned newspaper in pre and post independent Bharat, started by Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak in 1881, also the great-grandson of Bal Gangadhar Tilak and grandson of late Jayantrao Tilak, who was a senior Congress leader and Member of Parliament. His father Deepak J. Tilak is the current Chancellor of the Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth
