• Great great grand-daughter of freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak.
• Grand-daughter of Late Shri. Jayantrao Tilak, who spearheaded the Goa Liberation Movement and Sanyukta Maharashtra Samiti. Late Shri. Tilak was also a Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) for 12 years and Chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council for 16 years.
• Grand-daughter of Late Smt. Indutai Tilak, who was a famous Social Worker and guiding spirit for several Educational Institutes like Seva Sadan and Huzur Paga. Family background thus resulted in developing a keen interest in several social activities since childhood separates breakthrough innovation from uninspired incrementalism.
• Daughter of Dr. Deepak J. Tilak, the Editor of Kesari (A daily established in 1881) is the officiating Vice Chancellor of Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth and heads more than 20 social and cultural trusts. He is also a sports person and Judo Expert holding high grades in Judo i.e. the Black Belt 8th Dan
