About Registrar
Dr. Suvarna Sathe has been working in the field of education since 1996. She has been conferred with Doctorate in Management in 2012 and Post Doctorate in 2021. Six Research Scholars have completed their Doctorate under her guidance.
Dr. Sathe joined T.M.V. in 2007 and has been heading the Department of Hotel Management since then. She is being instrumental in designing and implementing various programs at the Department. Recently she has been instrumental in designing programs as per NEP 2020 as a Head of NEP Committee.
She was a Controller of Examination from 2017 to 2023. She is shouldering the responsibility as Acting Registrar of Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth since May 2023 and she has brought many reforms in the Vidyapeeth.
Dr. Sathe has a keen interest in the field of management and tourism and has completed 3 minor research projects and published 15 research papers at the International, National, and State Levels. She has also attended more than 30 seminars and conferences at State, National, and International Level. She has authored a book and a chapters in books at a national level. She also has 2 copyrights and 1 patent on her name. She is also a Project Director of ICSSR Project.
Dr. Sathe is active in the field of social service and cultural activities. She was heading the Vidyapeeth’s Art Circle since 2012, hosting various cultural programs and competitions for the students. She actively participates in and promotes social initiatives like Blood Donation, Organ Donation, and Tree plantation, to name a few. She is heading IQAC from October 2023.
Dr. Sathe is keenly interested in Sports and has represented the State of Maharashtra in National Games in the event of Judo. Her contribution to the field of education, cultural activities, sports, and research has been noteworthy and under her able leadership the Vidyapeeth has made progress in various domains.
