Welcome to the faculty of Ayurveda! The late Vaidya PG Nanal Dept. of Ayurveda was established on 1st December 1988 when vidyapeeth received the Deemed status.
Ayurveda being an inherent part of our rich heritage of Vedic knowledge; faculty of Ayurveda is functioning in this Vidyapeeth since 1923. Then it was the first Vidyapeeth in Maharashtra offering graduate and postgraduate courses in Ayurveda.
After the deemed university status considering the needs of the society, the department of Ayurveda started with the course Dip. In Yoga & Ayurveda & then innovatively developed many courses such as Ph.D., MSc in Nutrition and Food Science, M.A. Yoga and PG Diploma in Yoga Therapy.

Mission

• To provide integrated health service of Ayurveda, Yoga and modern nutrition.
• To equip the students with skills to handle lifestyle disorders.
• To establish Ayurveda and Yoga as mainstream health science.

Introduction

• Ayurveda is an ancient Indian science, which we Indians are ought to be proud of! It would better be known as an esteemed Indian way of life for perfect health; rather than just a medical science. The great seers of our land, put together the eternal principles in texts, thousands of years ago, which doubtless prove to be beneficial not only to Indians, but to the entire man-kind, even today.
