The M.A Political Science course has been designed on the basis of credit base with continuous internal evaluation system as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission, New Delhi.
Eligibility:
A graduate in any faculty of a statutory University or of any other institution recognized by the UGC. is eligible for admission to the first year of M.A. course.

Instructions for M.A. Students
• External students of M.A. course should note that there will be annual pattern examination based on new syllabus introduced in 2013-14.
• The new syllabus including new set of papers has been introduced even for external students from 2013-14.
• They must appear for eight papers of 100 marks each in two years.
• The minimum passing marks per paper are 40%.
• Examination will be held at the end of each academic year.
• The students should contact the department to get the syllabus and other necessary information.
Admission Procedure
Admission is open during every academic year in the months of June/July/August /September
Last date for M.A. External students is 31st October.

Examination Schedule
Annually in the month of May every year. (Supplementary exam is also held in the month of December)
Schedule of Examination:-
• Annual examination will be held in the month of May of each year. For repeater a supplementary examination is held in the month of December every year.
• A student who fails in the overall examination bus passes in one or more papers should not reappear for the papers he has passed. He should appear again only for the papers he has failed in.

Those students will complete Master in Political Science:-

1. Students can confidently appear for Eligibility Examinations like NET and SET. Eligible candidates can join as lecturer in the colleges to impart knowledge to student.
2. Student can pursue higher education such as M.Phil and Ph.D. in political science.
3. Students can confidently appear for Competitive Examinations like MPSC and UPSC.
4. Student can work with private and public sector as well as NGOs
5. Student can take active part in social and political movements.
6. Student can start career as a free hold journalist.
7. Student can start carrier as Research Assistant and letter can handle independently research project etc.
8. Student can start their own ‘consultancy services to provide input for Political leaders, Political Parties, NGO’s and Planning Commission.
