Aims and Objectives

We believe in preparing aspiring students and professionals in most of the fields in media and digital arts, by delivering excellent Post graduate, Graduate, Diploma and Certificate programs in television, film, radio, journalism and animation. We provide art based knowledge of digital design, VFX, SFX, 2D, 3D animation, and current knowledge of acting, drawing and painting techniques. Thus fulfilling the Mass communication’s responsibility to educate, inform and entertain the masses.

Introduction

This department is an opening to the world of media and digital arts. With a powerful knowledge based society, we have to capture big opportunities for our young thinking brains. To address this we started several courses based on the foundation of practical, theoretical and analytical approaches of current trends in mass communication. Our university established this department in the year 2006-07. We are following the guidelines prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Courses are designed to equip students find exciting and creative careers in growing business of media industry.

Admission Procedure

• The candidate can collect the prospectus from the study center or TMV, Pune by paying the prescribed fee
• The filled in application form must be submitted only at the study center/TMV office alongwith essential documents

Workshops:
Presenting on stage is an essential part of media. Acting workshops are conducted every year to enhance their inherent creative hidden art in students.

Exhibitions:
Students visit Global Broadcast India Exhibition every year held in Mumbai about the broadcasting, Television and film Industry products.

Outdoor Activities:
Photography is first step towards visual media and the course cannot be complete without taking students for an outdoor session of enjoying the nature as well as photography. It gives them an opportunity to mix up with each other.

Group Discussion:
In order to encourage students to take part in debates. Group Discussions on various topics related to politics and social issues are organized student have won prizes in Debate Competitions.

Lectures:
Media Experts lectures are organized so that they are aware of the latest trends and knowledge beyond the scope of text book.

Field Visits:
Field visit to various studious is a regular activity. On job training can be provided by working in actual professional studio like EMMRC, FTII and Radio station etc.

Trips & Tours:
Ramoji Film City is the most favorite place to learn and enjoy for the students of mass media. Visit gives them knowledge about the working of commercial cinema and their sets and technology use.
